American sandwich with Poli
Preparation process
- In a large bowl, combine and knead the bread bun ingredients to make a pliable dough. Cover the bowl with a cloth and leave the dough to rise for at least one hour. Knead the dough again and leave it to rest for at least an hour to rise again.
- Shape the dough into six balls and place them on a baking tray lined with parchment paper. Cover the rolls with a cloth and leave them to rise while the oven preheats to 170°C.
- Coat each bun with a mixture of egg yolk and milk, and then sprinkle with sesame seeds. Bake the rolls for 20 to 25 minutes.
- Coleslaw salad: thinly shred the red cabbage, carrots and apples. Season with salt and pepper, mix with mayonnaise and drizzle with lemon juice.
- Once the bread rolls are done, split them in half and make sandwiches using the Poli, cheese, coleslaw and ketchup.
