German sandwich with Poli
Ingredients
- Poli
- green leaf lettuce
- a hard-boiled egg
- curry sauce
- Emmental cheese
FOR THE BREAD ROLLS:
- 500g plain flour
- 10g salt
- 5g sugar
- 10g dried yeast
- 300-400ml milk
- 1l water
- 3 tbsp bicarbonate of soda
German sandwich with Poli
Preparation process
- Knead the flour, salt, sugar, yeast and milk in a large bowl to form a dough. Cover with a cloth and leave to rise for one hour at room temperature.
- Knead the dough once more, divide it into six parts and shape into balls. Let them rise a little while you boil the water and bicarbonate of soda in a large pan. Reduce the heat, add the balls, and simmer them for 1 to 2 minutes.
- Transfer the balls to a baking tray lined with parchment paper, score the top of the balls, sprinkle with coarse salt and bake at 160°C for 30 minutes.
- Halve the slightly cooled rolls and place the cheese, lettuce, Poli, boiled egg and curry sauce inside.
